During university, my experience at Tokyo Disneyland fascinated me with the 'hospitality business model,' leading me to decline job offers from major corporations. Instead, I intentionally started my career as a part-timer at a regional hotel. Experiencing everything from housekeeping to front desk duties, I felt the 'waste on the frontlines' firsthand. My starting point was creating an inventory management database myself as a regular staff member, significantly improving operational efficiency. Promoted to a full-time employee in less than a year, I successfully handled crucial projects such as accommodating overseas VIPs during the 2002 Japan-Korea World Cup.
At an international hotel chain, I completed comprehensive management training spanning not only rooms but also procurement, facility management, and F&B. I led the pre-opening of a luxury brand and oversaw revenue management for a 3,000-room scale, achieving revenue improvement at every hotel I worked for. At a global online travel agency (OTA), I was selected as the first Business Analyst outside their headquarters. As a 'translator' connecting data analysis with frontline sales, I drove KPI design and automated reporting.
I became independent during the COVID-19 pandemic. At a major railway hotel management company, I led the launch of a revenue management organization and the development of a DX foundation. Rather than just implementing systems, I focused on establishing 'usable systems' by working closely with frontline staff. In 2023, I founded tracul Inc. to give back this accumulated knowledge to more operators.
